How much do you charge for a website?

The cost of a website can vary depending on various factors, just like the cost of a house may vary. Though my website projects generally start in the £5,000* range for brochure business websites and range upward depending on client’s unique needs.

What your website will cost will depend, to a great extent, on what you want (number of pages required, functions on the website, content management systems) – as every website is unique, the time involved in one can vary considerably compared to another.  To be able to give you a rough estimate as to how much the project will cost, first you’ll need to complete the form here (takes less than 5 minutes).

Hint: The more budget you can put aside for your website project, the better will be the final product.

What’s your hourly rate?

I DO NOT charge an hourly rate, I only charge a flat rate per project.

How does the payment process work?

Large projects: The project starts with a 50% deposit. After design sign off and before I move into programming, I collect 25%. Once I have completed and fulfilled my scope, the final 25% is collected and your website is then scheduled for launch.

Smaller projects: I request 100% payment upfront.

How long does it take to design a website?

This largely depends on what is involved, as well as how soon you, as the client, are able provide me with the essential documents, such as copy and pictures. A simple brochure site can be up and running in 6 or 7 weeks. More complex projects can take longer. When I know your exact requirements, I will send you a contract with a realistic end date. I know that project deadlines are very important : I will always do my utmost to meet them.

Will my website work accross different devices?

Yes. All of the websites I build are fully responsive: I build mobile friendly and responsive websites that ensure optimal viewing experience across a wide range of devices including iPhones and iPads. Your site will be available on all devices.

Can I see my website while it’s in progress?

Absolutely! In fact, I encourage it. I build your website on my development server, and provide you with a username and password so that you can log in and monitor the progress of your site. During this phase, I encourage your feedback if something isn’t quite the way you envisioned it or if you’ve changed your mind. Once your site is ready and you have provided your approval, I release it live on your server.

I don’t live in Manchester: Can I use your services?

Yes. By using the internet, email and the telephone, I can communicate effectively with clients in any location.

What platform do you build your websites on?

I build all of my websites on the open-source Content Management System (CMS) platform called WordPress.

Will Erik Reart sign an NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement?)

Yes. Many of my design projects are undertaken for large corporations who plan product and company launches months, even years, in advance. In order to work on their projects, Erik Reart may need access to proprietary information which my clients wish to keep as trade secrets. Accordingly, when I’m asked, I’m more than happy to sign client-supplied non-disclosure agreements or similar contracts.

What is CMS?

A Content Management System (CMS) gives you complete control over your website, by allowing you to add or change any content on your website – pages, images, news, products descriptions and prices, the list is endless.

Do I own my website?

YES! Everything that I build will be 100% owned by you. Most of my clients stay with me for the life of the website. But if for any reason you decide you want to take your site to another hosting service and get another company to service the site, I will happily assist you in making the transition as effortlessly and efficiently as possible. The website is yours after all, and I want you to take it wherever you go.

How much does the logo cost?

Well… It depends. But to give you a rough idea – generally my logo designs start at £5,000.

Additionally I offer branding packages starting at £3,000.00 if you want to develop a full identity complete with stationery design, web and social media presence.

When do you start working on my project?

I will start working on your project as soon as I receive your logo request and payment.

Do you make logo design for products, titles, or names?

Yes, I create any type of graphic identity.

Does Erik Reart use clip art or stock logos?

Absolutely not.  I have a strict Clip Art Free Zone policy since day one. I also don’t use ‘Ready-Made’ logos, recycled logos (rejects from previous design projects) or DIY logo generator software. All my logos are built lovingly, by hand, from the ground up.

Can I use the supplied files to use in my own website material and desktop programs?

Yes. In additional to vector** based files, I also supply pixel based formats (.JPG files & .PNG files) which can be used on your website, or in most desktop office software.

** Only available in Full Packages

Can I purchase the other logos created during my project as well as the logo I finalized on?

Yes. Many of my clients often purchase one (or more) of the preliminary designs originally proposed. The purchase price of one of these other designs is £400.00 and includes file format setups and ownership transfer.

Who keeps the rights of the created logo design?

All the rights of the Logos & Branding I create for my customers belong to my customers.
